PIs

Yu Xie, is Bert G. Kerstetter '66 University Professor of Sociology and the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.He is also affiliated with the Population Studies Center and the Survey Research Center of the Institute for Social Research, and the Center for Chinese Studies. At the Survey Research Center, he directs the Quantitative Methodology Program (QMP). Xie is also a visiting Chaire Professor of Peking University.

Xiaobo Zhang, Professor of economics at National School of Development, Peking University (PKU), and also a senior research fellow at International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) based in Washington DC. His research areas are Development economics, agricultural economics and Chinese economy.

Ping Tu, Professor at Department of Marketing at Peking University. His research areas are pricing strategy, customer satisfaction and loyalty, new product diffusion modeling, and CRM and data mining.

Qiang Ren, Associate Professor at Institute of Population Research at Peking University. He is also the vice director of the Institute of Social Science Survey at Peking University. His research areas are population, environment and health, demography, issues on fertility, mortality, labor force, economics and environment, focusing primarily upon demography and quantitative methodology.

CFPS Project Office

Qiong Wu is the director of Projcet Office of China Family Panel Studies at the Institute of Social Science Survey. Wu has a doctorate degree in Psychometrics from Penn State University. Her research areas are quantitative methods in social sciences, cognitive function, and educational achievement. Before joining ISSS, she was a research associate at Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies. 

Lihong Dai, professional staff of Projcet Office of China Family Panel Studies, is in charge of data analysis and management.  She has a master's degree in Operational Research from Department of Applied Mathematics at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. She is proficient with SAS, matlab, ecxel vba, SQL.

Qi Zhen, professional staff of Projcet Office of China Family Panel Studies,  is in charge of data cleaning and analysis. She has a master’s degree in Finance at Tilburg University. She is competent in SAS, Python, Stata, SQL, etc.

Liping Gu, professional staff of Projcet Office of China Family Panel Studies, is in charge of data cleaning and analysis. She has a master’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University, State University of New York. She is proficient with SAS, R, etc.

Yiwen Zhao, professional staff of Projcet Office of China Family Panel Studies, is in charge of data dissemination and user service. She has a master’s degree in Profesional Studies at University of North Alabama. She is proficient with SPSS, Endnote, etc.
